Congratulations Open Bionics

Open Bionics won the Dyson award for a 3D printed hand prosthetic, according to BBC.

Kudos to you!!!

I find this project is important for a number of reasons:

  • Low-cost prosthetics are important for a number of selvevident reasons.
  • This is a prime example of intelligent and truly innovative use of new tech.
  • Open source, lightweight, and modular really is the way to go in this domain

My recommendation: Go – and keep inspiring more to work like this. (You have to change the color, though.)
